Remember
© Dawn Jensen
As I walk through life,
I look at all I have done.
I had wandered aimlessly,
And wondered what I have become.
I have been through so much,
It is amazing I made it through.
The lessons I have learned
I am shocked I pulled through.
The times I wondered
What life was all about.
The trials experienced in life,
Can make all the good come out.
We try to make it day by day.
Remembering what we were taught.
Just remember some time to pray,
It is important,
We need it every day.
Life can be short.
Unexpected at that.
We try to take its punches,
Just hoping it won't break our back.
Remember who you are,
Who you want to become.
Everything will fall into place,
When the time comes.
Don't forget I love you's,
Every chance you get.
The time maybe short,
There is no time to regret.
Life can be exciting,
As we all have found out.
Eventful, even busy
There is no time to be left out.
Remember who you are,
And Who you want to become.
The time can be short
Don't leave things undone.
Remember your families,
They are the only ones you've got.
To carry you in times of need
They can not be bought.
Remember they love you,
Either here or there.
They will always be with us.
Help for things to bear.

My Career and Research for Photojournalism
CAREER AND RESEARCH
Photojournalism
1. Why did
this career field appeal to you?
This career field appealed to me because it’s usually
shot in black and white and I like how that looks. I also really think it’s a
good thing to use photography to show what’s happening around the world because
photography speaks to some people stronger than just reading an article. A
photo can show so much emotion and make the viewer understand and see what you’re
trying to convey.
2. What are
the pros of going into this college program and/or career?
Pros of going to Savannah College of Art and Design
would be that it provides courses for photojournalism, black and white
technique which would be good since photojournalism is taken in B&W a lot
of the time. In the course we get to make a portfolio that could be newsworthy
that we present to the community about a current issue. I like that because it’s
kind of helping you get your career started, you’re not just learning about
taking pictures in that field.
3. What scholarships
or grants does the college offer to financially assist students?
Horatio Alger Scholar Award: is an award you can get
if you remain enrolled and maintain a 3.0 grade.
SCAD Challenge Scholarship Competition: high school
juniors/seniors compete for scholarships and funding to attend SCAD’s
pre-college program.
Athletics Award: granted to undergraduates who
demonstrate outstanding athletic ability. Need your school academic record,
standardized test scores, recommendations, ect…
4. How long is
the college program? Associates or Bachelors?
I couldn’t find exactly how long the program was but I
think it’s for an Associates.
5. What is one
interesting fact that you learned from the college website?
They have a ton of clubs that students can do at the
college. Another interesting thing that they have is a leadership training
workshop that focuses on issues to help students develop as individuals and as
active members of student organizations. I really like that they have that
workshop because I think it’s really good for young adults to gain that knowledge
of how to be independent.
